The function of administering travel entitlements and recording travel taken often resides within the HR division. HRIS components that address this function usually record information such as travel status (ie entitlement to first class, car rental type, etc), details of travel to be undertaken (including travel itinerary), allowances payable, start and return dates, duration, etc.
